Subtype
From AGEWiki
Elements are classified according to several hierarchies. One of them concerns SubTypes, which is a grand category for quick calculation.
The possibles categories are:

Note: SubTypes existed before families, so the concept remains. You can always know the subtype by just checking the element family of the element.
